Our Commitments
These are some of the Vermont based organizations that the Chuck & Marna Davis Foundation supports.

Named in honor of Chuck's father, the late Burlington banker and UVM alumnus Dudley H. Davis, Class of 1943, the student center is at both the literal and figurative crossroads of UVM's campus. It was the first student center in the United States to receive a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification and is the hub of the vibrant campus.
Shelburne Museum is designed to allow visitors to discover and explore American history, art, and design. The Museum’s 45-acre campus is comprised of 39 buildings, 25 of which are historic and were relocated to the Museum. The museum is home to over 150,000 works of art and offers concerts and performances as well as lectures and children's programs.
Shelburne Farms is a 1,400 acre historic estate and educational nonprofit located in Shelburne, Vermont. It encompasses a vast property that includes a working farm, a mansion, formal gardens, and educational programs focused on sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation. The farm hosts more than 140,000 visitors a year.
The farm’s programs have earned national and international recognition from groups including the United Nations University, and continue to focus on serving educators—an average of 1,500 annually.
Spectrum Youth and Family Services is a nonprofit organization with programs for youth and their families in the Burlington and St. Albans areas. Spectrum provides coaching and mentoring, including career services and other life skills, as well as counseling to help with substance abuse, mental health issues, and patterns of violence. Spectrum helps over 1,500 teens and their families annually.

Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center is a community-based non-profit organization providing lake access and educational programs. Their Signature Programs are specially designed for students, at-risk youth, women and girls, and individuals with disabilities.
Vermont Youth Conservation Corps programs offer paid, outdoor service experiences for people ages 15 and up. Corps Members build skills in conservation, agriculture and leadership while improving the health of Vermont’s water, forests, working lands and outdoor recreation infrastructure.
Hack Club is a nonprofit network of high school computer science clubs and "makers" around the world. Hack Club supports high school coding clubs through learning resources and mentorship. At Hack Club, teens learn to code entirely through building things. Headquartered in Shelburne, Vermont, It now includes more than 500 high school clubs and 40,000 students.
Charter House serves adults experiencing homelessness in and around Addison County, Vermont. The shelter, which operates 365 days per year, provides safe, comfortable temporary housing for up to 25 individuals while professional staff provide housing case management, a meal program for shelter guests and anyone else who needs a meal, and street outreach.
The Boys & Girls Club of Burlington works to inspire and enable youth in the community, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, healthy, responsible, and caring citizens. Our trained and professional staff serves more than 250 youth every day. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthier lives, and become tomorrow's leaders.
The UVM Hit Paws is the University of Vermont's oldest gender-inclusive a cappella group, formed in 2001. They perform on campus at our stand-alone concerts and with UVM's other a cappella groups, as well as traveling to perform throughout Vermont and New England. They perform music from all decades, with an emphasis on pop, indie, and funk genres. They are a proud part of UVM's community, excitedly welcoming members of all backgrounds.
Fibrolamellar (fibro-la-mel-lar) carcinoma (FLC), also known as fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma, is a rare liver cancer that primarily occurs in adolescents and young adults who have no history of liver disease. The principal purpose of the Foundation is to encourage, drive and fund research that will substantially improve outcomes for fibrolamellar patients. The Foundation prioritizes supporting research efforts that are most likely to lead to the development of more effective systemic therapies.
On track to open in 2029, the 35,000 square foot museum will complete an arts quadrangle on the north side of Middlebury's campus comprising the museum, Johnson Memorial Building, Wright Memorial Theatre, the Sunderland Language Center, and le Château The Marna O. Davis Museum will house the College’s 7,000-object art collection and newly acquired world-class works and include multipurpose classrooms. and event space.
The Medical Center at Ocean Reef offers compassionate and comprehensive medical services and health education to the Ocean Reef Club Community. Their mission is to enhance access to high-quality, on-site healthcare, reducing the need for residents to leave Ocean Reef for non-life-threatening medical needs
The Chuck & Marna Davis Foundation is please to help support the Winston Prouty Center in their mission to provide inclusive education and family support to promote the success of children and families. They offer high-quality early childhood
education in their Early Learning Center, and mobile literacy enrichment through their Early Learning Express Bookmobile. The Bookmobile serves young children and early childhood professionals at family child care homes and center based programs year round serving Windham County.
